Thanks for supporting our consultation at the Rec!

The Greenhouse team consulted with local residents at the Rec on 22 May

We’re really grateful to everyone who supported the consultation session on Saturday.  It was great to have an enthusiastic team from the Scouts and St Mary’s and several local councillors attend, and most of all to hear directly from wide range of residents in the neighbouring roads.

We’ve received lots of support and suggestions from the session and are also very aware of a range of understandable concerns which local residents have about the construction project and arrangements for the use of the building.  We will be doing all we can to address these.  Please do look out for further consultation opportunities as the project progresses and if you have any questions, ideas or concerns please do write to us at .

My personal favourite discussion was with Reuben and Isaac Hearne who have been working hard on their own designs as part of the First Lego League competition.  It was great to sense their enthusiasm for incorporating a range of ideas into the project, particularly as the new playground is considered.  Thanks also to their Mum, Rachel, for permission to use this photo and also for her questions about the project.
