Establishing a community partnership in the heart of Fetcham
This is a project to develop a new community centre to replace the current Scout Hut at the Cock Lane recreation ground in Fetcham. The project is a partnership between 1st Fetcham Scout Group, St Mary’s Church, Mole Valley District Council and the broader Fetcham community. The project is being led by a not-for-profit community interest company, formed specifically for this purpose.
As well as the Scouts, we expect everyone in Fetcham and the local area to benefit from the building and the community partnerships it houses. The building and its meeting rooms will be available to hire for activities, meetings, events and parties, subject to availability and conditions of hire, which will relate mainly to respecting our neighbours. We hope that three broad groups will particularly enjoy The Greenhouse: young people, families and older people.
